“What if I don’t?”

“Then you can spank Daddy,” he suggested with a snicker.

An image of his toned bottom flashed into her mind, making her drool. I could spank that all day. “Deal.”

His booming laughter made her giggle as well. She didn’t have to follow through on anything if she didn’t want to.

“Hi, Jordi. So good to see you.” the buff, handsome silver fox said with a gentle smile.

“Hi.” Jordi didn’t know what to say after that, so she looked at her feet.

A pair of pink sandals featuring purple toenails entered her view, and she looked up to see Sue standing in front of her. “Hi, Sue.”

“Hi, Jordi. I’m excited to spend some time with you. I don’t get a lot of play time with other Littles. I cleaned my nursery and everything,” Sue shared quietly so the other people standing in the restaurant entrance couldn’t hear.

“You have a nursery, too?”

“I do. It’s my favorite place in the house. Da… Davis and I do puzzles together and read stories.”

“That sounds like fun,” Jordi offered as a response, trying to feel her way through what she was supposed to say. She paused and cleared her throat before whispering, “I’ve never done this.”

“Have dinner?” Sue teased with a smile before adding, “It’s okay. Things are scary at first then you have fun.”

When the hostess led them to their seats, Jordi walked through the tables filled with diners. Thank goodness, this is a casual place. No one seemed to notice them at all. They had no idea why the group was there.

Soon she slid into the far corner of a booth secluded in the shadows and her Daddy sat next to her on the bench seat. His hand wrapped around her thigh to give her a small squeeze of reassurance. Jordi looked across the table at Sue and attempted a smile.

“I haven’t eaten here before. What do you suggest I try?” Jordi asked.

“I love the mac and cheese. It’s sinfully good,” Sue told her.

“They have mac and cheese?” Jordi searched through the menu to find it as Davis and Callen ordered drinks for the table.

“We don’t ever have that at home,” Sue said, nodding at Davis. “It’s not healthy. But if we go out, anything is fair game.”

“Almost anything, Little girl,” Davis warned. “Ordering three desserts for dinner is not acceptable.”

“You ordered dessert for dinner once?” Jordi asked.

“There wasn’t anything on the menu I wanted—but they did have great pies. I ordered pumpkin and apple pies. That’s almost a vegetable and a fruit. The brownie to finish off my meal is what got me overruled.”

“Pumpkin is a vegetable and apple’s a fruit. That makes perfect sense to me,” Jordi said, backing Sue up.

“And the brownie?” Callen asked.

“I’m with Sue. You have to get dessert,” Jordi stressed as she turned the menu over to look at the list of sweet things on the back.

“Food first. Then maybe dessert. One dessert,” Callen stressed.

The Daddies looked over the menu with their Littles. When the waitress came back with water and tall glasses of milk for Sue and Jordi, the men ordered for their Littles and themselves. Jordi felt conspicuous and scooted closer to her Daddy. Again, he reassured her with a squeeze to her thigh.

“I love men with old-world manners. Why can’t I find someone to order for me?” the waitress asked before leaving to put in their orders.

“She didn’t know,” Jordi remarked in shock.

“People are too busy. No one really knows anything,” Sue reassured her before pointing at a couple across the aisle from them. “I like to make up stuff about people. I think those two are spies and they’re in here to watch the people at that table.”

Jordi followed her gestures and watched. The couple close to them did spend most of their time looking at the table Sue had indicated. They were sneaky but Jordi was able to catch them several times. “Goodness! I think you’re right.”

“What do you think is going on over there?” Sue asked, pointing to a different table.

Jordi watched them carefully for a few seconds and suggested, “Maybe they had a big argument before coming here. She’s still totally pissed, and he’s trying to calm her down.”

“She does have her mad face on,” Sue agreed.

Jordi squirmed in her seat as she looked around. This was fun. She knew she was wrong with every guess, but creating convincing stories was a blast.

“Here’s your dinner,” the server announced and set the first dish of macaroni on the table in front of Jordi. “Be careful. It’s hot.”

Leaning forward, Jordi inhaled the cheesy aroma of the delicious-looking dish. It was steaming. She could feel the waves of heat wafting off the dish. She picked up her fork to dive in when Callen caught her hand.

“Let it cool off a bit. You’ll burn your mouth.” He dipped his fork into the mixture and lifted it to his lips to blow on it. When it was cool, he offered it to her.
