We needed to have the discussion about what had happened the other night, and unless he safeworded, this seemed to be the best time to have it.

So I rolled my eyes and sighed, playing up the drama since he always found it funny. “I’m going to get yelled at by one of your neighbors for seducing my sweet boy in the car, or Austin is going to pop up like a scary monster in a horror movie, asking me what I’m doing to you.”

That got more laughter as I climbed out of the car and walked around to the passenger side to get him. He seemed to have forgotten his worries for the moment, so I kept up the silly routine as I helped him out and we headed up to his place.

“Is that him?” Pointing to a shadow behind a potted plant got more giggles as he shook his head. “What about there?”

The ridiculous game kept him smiling and swinging my hand as he let me into his apartment, but once we were inside, he seemed to remember the plan. Communicating. Yep, it was a scary word but sometimes it had to be done.

“Why don’t you show me where your cups are?” I hadn’t gotten a tour earlier, so I would’ve just been blindly guessing. “Unless I’m supposed to play hide-and-seek with them?”

Yep, every giggle had him sliding deeper into his little headspace, so we were going to have to get the important bits out of the way first thing.

Shaking his head as he brought his thumb up to his mouth, I could see the countdown already beginning. “Alright, you show me so I don’t mess up your kitchen.”

He tugged my hand and led me into a small but well-laid-out kitchen and only released my hand when he pointed to a cabinet by the sink. “Is that cups or am I going to find treats in there? Am I going to find cookies instead?”

I was not helping the grown-up versus little issue but he was so cute when he laughed.

I tried not to push him deeper into his little side as I got his milk and led him back to the living room but it was difficult. Little Charlie was sweet and giggly and didn’t seem to want to worry about anything.

I approved.

Honestly.

But…I needed to know how he felt about our date the other night…especially if Austin was grilling him on it.

“Alright, cuddle time.” Sitting down, I pulled him onto my lap and snuggled him close, not even pretending that he was in his grown-up headspace at the moment. “There’s my sweet boy.”

Giving him a moment to have a sip and get comfortable wiggling around, I kissed his head and waited until he was relaxed before starting our conversation. He managed to drag it out an impressive amount of time, but it gave me a moment to reframe the discussion I thought we would have into something more practical for a little.

“Did you like playing on our date the other night? I did.” Making sure I included my response first seemed to make it easier for him to nod as his thumb went back into his mouth. “I’m glad.”

With that out of the way, I tested out another question. “I liked taking care of you and cleaning you up, but was that okay with you?”

Again, I got another easy nod but no words.

“Would it have been alright if I put on a diaper?” I realized how that had sounded when he giggled instead of answering. “You’re right. That didn’t come out quite as I’d intended. Okay, would it have been alright if I dressed my cute little boy up in a diaper?”

That got a shrug as his giggles faded.

Not helpful at all.

“The Daddies I’ve talked to say it makes them feel good to take care of their littles like that and they said it brought them closer together.” Being up front about that seemed like the best plan, and I was rewarded with another snuggle and his fingers starting to pet my chest.

“So would it have been okay if I’d put a cute diaper on you so that I could’ve taken very good care of you?” I wasn’t sure if framing it that way was manipulative or not, but Charlie nodded and didn’t tense at all, so I decided I wasn’t going to worry about it.

Besides, I already knew the diapers were something he didn’t mind in general, so him knowing I didn’t mind them couldn’t be too manipulative.

Right?

Nope, I was going to assume I had good intentions unless I pissed off Austin.

“That’s good to know. Thank you.” Giving his head another kiss, I mentally debated what to ask next. “I know you said Austin was worried when you were little after our time alone but were you worried?”

That just got me another shrug, but after a few seconds, he tapped on my chest.
