I just turn back to my book to hide my blush. Ana just snorts as she walks into the bathroom to start getting ready for bed. Just then, my phone goes off. I glance at the screen to see a message from a number I don’t know.

Rapunzel Rapunzel.

I frown, typing up a response.

Who is this?

It’s Beckett.

I grin to myself, feeling a heated tremor tease through me as I respond.

Rapunzel Rapunzel?

As in, “let down your hair”.

I frown.

Huh?

Go to the damn window.

I frown again as I slip from my bed and pad barefoot to the window. I peer out into the darkness of the campus grounds, before suddenly, I see the glow of a phone waving from a cluster of manicured trees.

Beckett.

Instantly, my phone rings with his number, and I answer it.

“Are you fucking crazy?” I hiss. “It’s way after curfew.”

“I don’t live on campus.”

“You could still get in serious shit for being out there after it.”

“Not if I don’t get caught.”

I roll my eyes, grinning.

“Beck, what are you doing here?”

“Getting you.”

I blush.

“Oh, did we have plans?”

He ignores my sarcasm.

“Nah, but now we do.”

I swallow, glancing back at the bathroom.

“Maybe I’m not that kind of girl.”

He chuckles deeply. “And what kind of girl is that?”

Heat teases through me as I glance back at the bathroom.

“My roommate is here,” I whisper.

“Well I wasn’t planning on coming up.”

“What were you planning then?”

“You coming down here.”

I chew on my lip, thinking about what just happened earlier today with Porter, in the freaking classroom, nonetheless. And again, that confusing feeling of wanting each of them swirls through me with a mix of guilt and lust.

“What happens when I come down there?” I ask quietly.

I can hear the low growl in his throat, and instantly, my panties grow wetter.

“Come down and find out.”

I chew on that thought for one second, and one second only, before the heat burning inside of me makes the decision for me.

I poke my head into the bathroom to see Ana wrapped in a towel brushing her teeth while she runs a bath.

“Mind covering for me?”

“Going out?” she mumbles around her toothbrush.

I nod, biting my lip.

She spits out her toothpaste and turns back to me. “Yeah, of course. No problem.”

“Thanks.”

I’m back in the main room opening the window when she sticks her head out of the bathroom.

“Hey, Kemp.”

“Yeah?”

She grins wickedly. “Say hi to Beckett for me.”

“As I was saying, I’m not that kind of girl,” I mutter as I slip into the thicket of trees Beckett is camped out in. The grounds of Winchester are exquisitely manicured and landscaped, and even this little cluster of fifty-year-old trees is perfectly arranged. But it’s also surrounded by landscaped bushes and tall-grasses, making it a pretty nice hiding place.

“And what kind of girl is that?” he drawls out with one of those pulse-quickening grins.

“The kind where you can just show up and expect her to jump in the sack with you?”

Beckett gasps dramatically, holding a hand to his heart.

“Kempton, I am shocked you would think that of me.”

I roll my eyes. “I’m sure.”

He grins. “Who said anything about a sack?”

I eye him, my pulse beating quickly.

“Trust me, no ‘jumping in the sack’ implied.” He winks. “I do have the back seat of my Jeep available, though.”

I roll my eyes, blushing, but I suddenly gasp as he moves into me quickly, pulling me against his rock-hard body.

“Heard you were a bad girl today,” he purrs deeply, making me tremble against him as I blush.

“Wh—what do you mean?”

He winks.

“Porter can’t keep a secret to save his fucking life.”

My face goes hot, but Beckett just grins.

“But also, I dragged it out of him.”

My blush blooms over my face as I look away, chewing my lip.

“Kempton.”

His big hand moves up, one thick finger tilting my chin up so that my eyes drag to his.

“How many times do I need to say that it doesn’t bother me?”

He frowns. “Any other guy? Fuck yeah, I’d go fucking caveman. But not Porter.”

I swallow, looking up into his eyes.

“Why not?”

“Because he’s basically my brother. Because it seriously doesn’t bother me.”

“But, it’s not ideal,” I say.

He shrugs. “You like him?”

I look down.

“Tell me, Kempton. Are you into Porter?”

“He’s my professor, Beckett.”

“And?”

Slowly, I nod.

“Yes.”

“And me?”

My eyes drag to his, losing myself in those piercing blue eyes of is, and I nod.

“Yeah,” I whisper. “And you too.”

He grins. “So what’s the problem?”

“You don’t see the problem?”

“No.” Beckett shrugs. “I mean, the student-teacher thing is probably an issue—”

“Oh, you think?”

He chuckles.

“C’mon.”

“Um, excuse me? C’mon where?”

I gasp as he suddenly spins us, pressing me back against a tree. And before I know it, he’s leaning into me, and searing his perfect lips to mine. I moan into the kiss, my arms reflexively going around his neck as he grinds into me.

“Well,” he growls. “It’s like this. I could take you back to my place, and pull your panties off, and make your sweet little pussy come for me.”
