I shake my head as the party rages around me, the rest of the world completely oblivious to the humiliation washing over me. It’s the last party of the summer, and despite knowing I don’t belong here, I let him drag me along. I’m such a fucking idiot. I knew he asked me to come just so he could get blind drunk and have some sorry loser waiting for him to decide when he’s ready for her to drive his bitch ass home.

Fuck me, I’m such an idiot. I knew I should never have come here with him.

Usually, there are more public parties than I can count on the last weekend of the summer, but after the incident a few weeks ago and the cops shutting down every last hint of fun in town, no one bothered. Which is exactly how we ended up at a private school party.

This shit isn’t my scene. No, wait. Back that up. This is definitely my scene. I love a good party, and if it gets out of hand, even better. It’s just that I’m not feeling it tonight, especially now that Colby’s dick is currently impaling a cheerleader.

Letting out a sigh, I pull my phone from the back pocket of my jeans and waltz into the room. I’ve not been feeling our relationship for the past few months and just haven’t had the balls to break up with him. Though, I guess there’s nothing stopping me now. Bonus points for getting to leave him while also being able to make him the bad guy. Nothing better than being able to claim you’re the innocent one in a breakup.

The music is so loud that neither of them hear me until I’m standing right beside them, my camera up and a wide grin across my face. “Hey Colby,” I say, snapping a quick shot of the two of them. “Smile.”

Colby’s head whips around as cheerleader bimbo screeches and reaches for the blanket, tearing it up to cover her tits. Not gonna lie, she’s got a nice rack on her. If I weren’t so humiliated by being the oblivious woman who allowed a piece of shit like Colby Jacobs to cheat on her, then I might even send her a compliment or two. Hell, my friends even tried to warn me, but I told them they were wrong about him.

“Bri,” Colby rushes out, his face paling as his jaw drops, more than just caught in the act. Fuck, it was almost worth it to see the sheer panic taking over him. “Fuck, babe. What are you doing?”

I flip my phone around and show him the picture of him fucking the girl. “Oh this?” I question. “Just giving myself something to look at every time you blow up my phone asking for me back. This will make sure that I never fall back into that trap again.”

He shakes his head, scrambling for something to say. “I … I didn’t mean to, Bri. You have to believe me. It just happened. She … she came onto me.”

I laugh, grinning at the asshole. “Really? You’re going to try and feed me your bullshit excuses while your three-inch cock is still buried inside the cheerleader? Shit, Colby. I almost feel sorry for the girl.”

“I, uhhmmmm,” the cheerleader says awkwardly, brushing her messy brunette hair off her face and drawing my attention down to her, sprawled across the bed. She looks awkward and more than uncomfortable, and for just a second, I wish that I could do something to put her at ease, but then I remember that I don’t give a shit. “I’m not a cheerleader by the way. I’m a dancer.”

A beaming smile cuts across my face, and I almost wish she knew me better to be able to read the sarcasm in my tone. “That’s fabulous.”

She pushes Colby off her and I scoff at the way he flies back on the bed, his hands dropping to cup his deflating junk. The girl pulls herself up on the bed and holds her hand out to me, and for some ridiculous reason unknown to me, I take it. “I’m Ilaria,” she says before adjusting the blankets over her body. “For what it’s worth, I didn’t know he had a girlfriend. I’d never have even looked twice if I knew.”

Realizing far too late that I just touched her dirty sex hands, I start to back away. “Appreciate it,” I tell her, having to remind myself that this isn’t on her. She’s just a clueless victim in all of this. The bastard here is Colby. “As for you,” I say, turning to my now ex-boyfriend who’s scrambling to get himself dressed. “You can go and fuck a cactus. We’re over. Done. And for the record, I’m not above telling the whole fucking school that you wear women’s underwear and cry when you come.”
