“Hey, sweet pea!” I greeted Stella as she launched herself into my arms. Kinsley held Linc, who immediately stretched out his arms as soon as he spotted Keaton.
“Thanks.” I kissed Kinsley’s cheek, chuckling when Sullivan practically growled, then shook his hand. “We’re happy to return the favor any time.”
After gathering up all the kids’ stuff, and damn do kids have a lot of shit, we headed out to the curb, where Jack had the Escalade waiting. Both kids exclaimed at the sight of “Uncle Jack,” and he hugged them before helping them into the car.
Once they were secure in their seats, Keaton and I joined them. Stella chattered away, telling Keaton all about her weekend while Linc tried to join in, babbling random words and a lot of gibberish.
I just sat back and watched my family, feeling a sense of completeness and joy. After Keaton had given birth to Stella, I’d sent Julia Connor a fucking huge bouquet of flowers and a basket full of chocolate. The woman clearly knew what she was doing, and I was grateful that she’d given me what I needed, rather than what I thought I wanted.
Because now, I had everything.
