“Don't think about doing anything stupid out there, remember Dingo is still on the front porch,” I holler to him as he steps out. Dylan returns a few minutes later, frowning down at the empty basket.

“Done. Happy?” he snaps in a pissed tone.

“Very,” I reply sweetly, hoping my tone pisses him off more. We walk backward out of the house, our guns trained on Dylan the whole way. Out on the porch, Dingo is still holding his arm moaning. “Jesus, Dingo, stop being a pussy and go clean that up.” I laugh, shaking my head. Backing down the sidewalk, I look over and see the dogs are devouring the food. “Damn, they were starving,” I say to Billy, pointing in their direction. Billy looks over to the dogs.

“Fuck, that's just sad,” he states.

“We’ll send the prospects by on a regular to check they keep feeding them,” I answer, Billy nods back in agreement. Getting back to our bikes, Billy and I put our helmets on.

“Hey, Linc?” Billy hollers.

“Yeah?” I answer, looking over to him.

“Can I smell your fingers?” he asks, looking at my hand, grinning.

“Fuck No!” I shout back. “Now put that gun up and let's get out of here,” I yell, getting on my bike.

LINCOLN

I sit at a table back at the clubhouse debriefing Flynn on what happened at Dingo's.

“So, you sliced through his new tattoo with your knife?” He chuckles. “Damn, you’re a bastard, Linc.” Flynn laughs.

“Fuck him, besides Kit...uh, C, was right. It was ugly,” I answer, hoping neither of them caught my slipup calling her Kitten. I already have Flynn trying to push me to claim her. I don’t think it’s a good idea. I’m not a man who can maintain a stable relationship, and that’s what Kitten deserves. I’ll fuck it up somehow. I just know it.

“Stay High” by Three 6 Mafia starts playing from the pocket of Billy's shirt, interrupting our conversation. “Shit, that's C calling,” he says, reaching in his pocket, looking at me surprised.

“What the fuck!?” Why the hell is she calling him? She’s supposed to be asleep in my bed. And why the fuck does he have that song as her ringtone? Just how much fucking weed is he buying from her? I want to reach out and choke the shit out of him, but then I wouldn't be able to find out why she’s calling him. I shoot my eyes to him in warning for him to keep his mouth shut about Dingo, he nods an ‘I know’ back to me and swipes the screen to answer.

“Hey, sweetheart,” he coos into the phone while looking at me, curious how I will react to his sentiment. But I don't take the bait, I don't show any emotion.

Billy goes silent for a minute, listening to what she is saying, and I'm about to scream ’cause I can't be. Damn it, I think I'm jealous. What the fuck? I have never been jealous over anyone. Girls fight over me, not the other way around. I could give a fuck about a girl. They want to kick rocks, that's fine by me, I know there are a hundred other bitches standing right behind them with their panties down and mouths open ready to take my cock.

“What?” Billy shouts, making me and Flynn jump. “Jesus, I am so sorry, C,” he says, now standing up. “Yes, yes, I will meet you there, and no, it's not okay, C. You shouldn’t have to deal with this, I am so sorry. I am on my way.”

Billy puts the phone back in his pocket and says, “I gotta go.”

“What's going on?” I ask, trying to be as nonchalant as possible. “My damn grandmother is on the loose again, I gotta go get her,” he sighs, starting for the door.

“I'll take you, besides you may need to drive her somewhere and you can't put her on your bike,” I affirm, standing up.

“Thanks, Linc,” he mutters, walking to the door as I follow.

“See ya later, Flynn,” I holler over my shoulder.”

“You boys have fun,” he chuckles.

Backing my Lexus out of the garage, I ask Billy, “So, where are we going?”

“Baptist Church on Elm Street,” he replies, looking anxious. Really, I could care less. I mean, I would have taken him if he asked, but the only reason I offered like I did was because I remember him saying he would meet C there when he was on the phone with her.

C

I'm so warm and cozy in Linc's bed. God, this is the most comfortable bed in the world. The sheets are so soft, and the comforter is fluffy like a cloud. I think I fell asleep before he was even out the door but something has woken me up. Something keeps ringing. “Oh shit!” I shout as my eyes fly open, realizing it's my phone ringing from the other room. I jump up and run through the house naked. I head back in the living room searching for it, trying to follow the ringing, while trying to remember where I put it, and then I see my jeans lying on the floor by the couch. Hurrying over I snatch them up, grabbing the phone out of the back pocket.
