No.

I wanted to go home.

Because coming here was a crazy mistake.

I looked around suddenly nervous. Exactly what was I going to do when I finally came face to face with my one-night stand?

Hey, you’ll never guess what.

It’s the funniest story…

I took a sip of my Coke. I wasn’t ready to face him.

“I need to pee,” I said getting up from my stool. “Are you okay if I leave you for a bit?”

“If we get separated, you make sure you text me before you go anywhere,” she said as I began to walk away.

Before disappearing down a hallway toward the restrooms, I glanced over at Maverick. The bar girl had rewarded his help with another two shots of tequila and he slid one across the bar to Autumn. After they downed them, he pulled her into his chest and mashed his lips to hers. In return, she melted into him and kissed him hungrily.

I turned away and continued down a long hallway. The restroom was at the end. I pushed the door open and immediately stopped because leaning up against the wall was a beast of a man, his head dropped back in pleasure, his mouth slack, and his eyes squeezed together. On her knees in front of him was a girl with yellow hair. She had her hands on his thighs and her mouth full of his cock. It took me a moment to register what I was seeing. Unfortunately, my realization coincided with his orgasm, and I got to see him grab himself, give his cock a couple of frenzied pumps, and ejaculate all over her lips. Rooted to the spot, there was no time to make an escape before the girl rose to her feet and stormed over to where I stood in the doorway. She gave me a filthy look.

“There’s another restroom down the hallway,” she snapped, and then slammed the door in my face.

Right.

So that just happened.

If I didn’t feel like fleeing before, I definitely did now.

But before I could make my escape, I really needed to find another restroom first.

I glanced down the hallway to my right where the yellow-haired girl said there was a second restroom. It was a longer hallway than the first one, dimly lit with doorways leading off into what I assumed were bedrooms.

Thankfully—because my eyes were already bleeding—the bathroom was vacant. I turned on the light and quickly locked the door, taking the time to catch my thoughts and calm my nerves as I peed.

Okay. New plan. I would go find Caleb and I would just come out and say it. Hey. I’m pregnant. It’s yours. Thought you should know. Oh, and hey, my name is Honey.

And then we would work it all out like the grown adults we were.

I didn’t want anything from him. I was here only because I thought he deserved to know. It would be awkward. It would be a shock. But after tonight, it would be done and I could move forward and focus on the baby and how it was going to impact my life. I didn’t need a boyfriend, or to start anything with a man who was only ever meant to be a one-night stand, because now wasn’t the time to complicate an already unexpected situation.

Feeling more confident, I finished up and left the bathroom and started back down the hallway, but was stopped by a warm, familiar voice.

“Well, I’ll be goddamned, it is you,” it said. I swung around and there he was, Mr. One-Night Stand. Caleb. He was leaning against the door, his big arms folded across his wide chest, and his bright blue eyes glittering in the dim light. He was just as damn beautiful as he had been the night we met. My insides did a double flip, and every female part of me clenched and pulsed, and as if they had a mind of their own, my eyes drifted down the length of that hard body and stopped at the decorative belt buckle. Behind that belt buckle . . . ten inches of trouble.

My hand went to my belly.

“It’s you,” I breathed, momentarily caught in the blueness of his vibrant eyes.

He didn’t move from the door, but he smiled, and boy, something wild unfurled inside of me.

“I woke up and I was alone,” he said, pushing off the door and walking toward me. “Thought you were a dream. Thought I had imagined you.”

He stopped in front of me and my skin rippled with goosebumps. He was tall and broad, and all kinds of handsome. My body began to buzz as soon as he was close.

“No. I’m real,” I said. Christ, how was I going to tell him I was knocked up when I could barely talk. “Right here, in the flesh.”

Something close to raw desire shimmered across his face, and my nipples turned so hard they could cut diamonds. I shifted uneasily on my feet. And suddenly, every part of me—every single cell, wanted him inside me.
