I was still panting, stomach still quivering with release as Walker got off the bed to don a condom. He watched me as he rolled it on, his gaze devouring me spread out on his bed like an offering. His erection was so swollen and hard, it strained toward his abs. My excitement made me restless for him.

Never in my life had anyone made me feel as wanted as Walker.

And he didn’t release me from the ties. He got back on the bed, face hard with need and determination, and he lifted my hips again.

His thrust inside me was powerful, hard. A pleasure pain that made me cry out and arch into him.

“Christ, look at you,” he growled, his grip tightening as he pounded into me.

I was being fucked. There was no other word for it.

And it was epic.

The tension rippled down the ties as he drove into me with uncompromising power, like a goddamn conquering warrior taking his prize. His abs tensed with every hard stroke, his expression hooded and intense. He was so much bigger than me. I felt feminine and fragile in his hands. But sexy. I wasn’t Sloane Harrow, single mom struggling to get by. I was just Sloane. The woman Walker wanted to fuck like there was no tomorrow.

“Walker,” I gasped as the tension tightened and spiraled inside me once more.

Then he slowed his thrusts to a halt, and I stared up in confusion as he hurriedly reached over to remove the ties from my wrists. My gaze was questioning as he loosened the second tie.

“I want you on your hands and knees,” he explained gruffly.

But then he was kissing me as he moved inside me again, and I groaned into the kiss, running my hands down his muscled back, feeling his strength. I grabbed at his strong ass, and he grunted into my mouth. Walker broke the kiss and suddenly maneuvered me onto my hands and knees. My thighs trembled as I waited for him to return to me. It was like he needed me every which way he could get, like he’d lost all control.

And I loved that.

It made me feel empowered.

Walker smoothed a hand up my spine and under my hair to grip my nape in his typical domineering way. He caressed me in reassurance and then thrust into me. My back arched and as he pulled out to drive back in, I undulated into his strokes. His other hand slid up my stomach to grasp one of my breasts. Walker squeezed it, and I was lost all over again.

“I can’t get enough,” he confessed harshly. “I can’t get enough of you. Sloane, fuck.”

At his words, I came. My inner muscles clamped hard around his driving cock, and Walker let out a stream of surprised expletives before his hips stuttered to a halt. And then, “Sloane!” His hips shuddered against me as he throbbed around my own pulsing release and came.

I collapsed onto the bed, and Walker fell down over me, bracing his body so he didn’t crush me. He scattered kisses across my shoulder, even as he still pulsed inside me.

Then he eased out and laid down at my side. His chest rose and fell with his pants. Walker turned his head to look at me. “Never come harder in my life, woman,” he admitted hoarsely.

I smiled smugly. “Me too.”

His eyes moved from my smile to my wrist. He rubbed at the slight mark left by his tie. “You liked?”

“I liked,” I replied. “A lot.”

Walker seemed satisfied by that as he rolled onto his side to brush his knuckles down my back in a slow, easy caress.

“I won’t take his call,” I whispered.

His gaze flew to mine, his voice a little harder as he said, “Good.” Then he pushed up off the bed and walked out of the room, those bitable, muscular ass cheeks flexing with every stride.

Good?

What were we doing?

Why was I agreeing not to date someone in return for someone who only wanted sex? And why did Walker care so much that he’d carry me back to his house like a caveman, just to prove he was the man I wanted?

He was the man I wanted.

And I wanted more than he could give, I allowed myself to realize.

After he disposed of the condom, Walker strode back into the bedroom, his eyes on me as he reclined beside me.

Despite my inner voice screaming at me to shut up, not to ruin this, I couldn’t stop the words that blurted out. The words I knew I needed to say to protect my heart. “This doesn’t feel casual anymore, Walker. I … I have feelings for you. And I promised I’d be honest about that.” My throat constricted at his careful expression and the words I needed to say next. “I know I asked you if you were in … but maybe I need to be out?”
