Just a little more temporary fun?

When I look across the table, Anna is nodding at me. “Yes, Katy. Whatever you’re thinking right now, yes.”

“You don’t even know what I’m thinking,” I snap. “I could be plotting someone’s murder, and you’re just sitting there and encouraging it.”

She eyes me knowingly. “The only murder you’re plotting is of your vagina, and it’ll be from Mack Houston’s massively huge cock.”

“Oh my God.” I groan and drop my head into my hands. “I think I need to ignore you for a few minutes. You’re making me question my sanity.”

“Okay, that’s perfect because I need to run to the bathroom before our food gets here,” she says and reaches out to squeeze my shoulder. “You can ignore me while I’m gone.”

When I glance up at her, she offers a wink at me before hopping up from the booth.

A moment later, she disappears inside the bathroom, and my phone pings with another notification. I check the screen to find another text from my dad.

But instead of opening it, I find myself scrolling to a different chat.

I even find myself typing out a message.

You can come over tonight.

And then, I hit send. God help me.

I’m sweaty, naked, and lying in my bed while my lungs try to regain their equilibrium. Every nerve ending in my body feels like it’s been given a Valium.

“I think you riding me might be my favorite position, Katy Cat.” Mack’s raspy, slightly breathless voice fills my ears, and I turn on my side to take in the view of his gloriously naked body stretched out across my mattress.

Okay, so don’t judge me, but I guess I’m taking Anna’s advice.

And after two orgasms in the matter of an hour, that advice is looking to be pretty dang fantastic.

“Is it too early to suggest a round three?” he asks as he reaches out to brush a piece of my hair behind my ear.

“You’re a lunatic.” A snort escapes my nose. “And my body needs fluids and sustenance before I can do anything.”

“Okay,” he agrees with his signature sexy smile. “Food first, then sex.”

I shove at his shoulder and start to hop off the bed, but he’s too quick and yanks me back down into his arms.

“What the hell?” I say around a few giggles, but Mack just squeezes me tighter to his chest.

“You always feel so soft, Katy Cat. I couldn’t resist.”

“And I see you’re still holding strong with that nickname, huh?”

“I can’t help myself. You’ll always be Katy Cat to me.” His smile is big and brilliant, and for some crazy reason, it makes me smile too.

I almost tell him about the nickname my father uses for him, but for some reason, that conversation feels wrong to have at this moment while I’m still naked, in his arms, and fresh off orgasms from his skillful mouth and penis.

“You can’t help yourself from doing a lot of things,” I tease him instead.

“Like what?”

“Pretending there’s a Career Day emergency to get me to the auditorium.”

“It worked, though.” He waggles his brows at me. “And your little game when you left the auditorium worked too.”

“What little game?” I question, and my nose scrunches up of its own accord.

“You know the game, babe,” he says and reaches up to tap the tip of my nose. “The sole purpose was to make me want more. And well, obviously, it worked.”

So, I might’ve toyed with him a little before I left him standing on the auditorium stage. I don’t know why I did it, but it just came naturally. It also felt like he deserved it for purposely getting me so riled up at school.

“I don’t know what you’re talking about,” I lie and pointedly change the subject. “And speaking of Career Day, I am officially assigning you the task of getting another speaker for the event. It’s April twenty-second, by the way.”

“April twenty-second? Who decided that?”

“Me.”

“I should’ve figured as much.” He laughs. “But I guess I’ll just be thankful you’re actually letting me help you with something.”

“Pretty sure Principal Dana didn’t give me a choice.”

“When it comes to you, I’ll take whatever I can get.” Mack presses a hard kiss to my mouth. “Now, how about some food?” he adds and smacks a playful hand to my ass. “I think a pizza delivery sounds like perfection.”

“Only if it’s Marco’s.”

“Babe, count me in. Marco’s is my favorite.”

“Mine too.”

“See?” he retorts as I get off the bed and snag a T-shirt from my closet. “We have more in common than you think, Katy Cat.”

Oh boy. I certainly hope that’s not the case. Yeah, but that’s only because you might find yourself getting a little too attached to his version of fun.

Friday, April 8th

Mack

As I walk into the massive office building that my cousin runs his billion-dollar empire from, my phone vibrates in my back pocket. I pull it out to check the screen, but disappointment sets in when I see it’s not who I was hoping it would be.
