I move some stuff around to make room for the pancakes Tucker places on a plate, then glance at the door when there is a knock. Since I’m closer and Tucker is busy with Kingston, I walk across the living room. Pulling the door open, I smile when Miles and Winter step inside, with a woman who looks like she should be on a runway in Paris right behind them. I’ve heard a lot about Hazel from Tucker, how she’s married to a lawyer and the two of them are planning on having a baby soon, but he never told me how beautiful she is.

“Hi!” Winter sings, giving me a quick hug around my waist before yelling for Kingston and running his way, making me laugh.

“Hey, Miranda.” Miles chuckles, dropping a kiss on my cheek, then he turns to the woman and touches her back. “Hazel, Miranda. Miranda, Hazel.”

“Nice to meet you.” I take her hand, her shake firm and strong and really fricking intimidating.

“You too. I’ve heard nothing but good things.” She steps inside, and just as I’m about to close the door, the elevator down the hall opens, and Dalton steps out, with Willow and Clay holding hands, still looking tan and euphoric from their honeymoon and the sun they spent two weeks in. If I had met the two of them while I was still married to Bowie I would have been green with envy. It’s so obvious for anyone in their presence just how in love they are, and how protective and gentle Clay is with his wife.

A hand touches my back and slides across to my hip, and my eyes connect with Tucker’s. “Miles took over pancake duty with the kids.”

“Okay,” I whisper, and he drops a kiss to my mouth. Yeah, I would have been jealous before but now I have all of that in Tucker.

We turn to the three people standing a couple feet away and my cheeks get warm as they look between Tucker and me. I bite my bottom lip.

“You’re adorable.” Willow laughs before she wraps her arms around me in a tight hug.

“Whatever.” I hug her back, then accept a hug from Clay. “I hope you guys are really hungry. I might have gone overboard with the food.”

“I’m starving, and I brought a gift,” Dalton says, dropping a kiss to my cheek, and I notice he has a bottle of champagne in one hand and a bottle of orange juice in the other.

“I won’t be drinking today,” Willow announces as everyone starts to fill their plates, and Dalton gets down champagne glasses.

“Are you pregnant?” Hazel asks, sounding excited, and Willow laughs.

“No, but I woke up with a headache after last night.” She sends me an accusatory look.

“Hey.” I hold up my hands. “I’m not the one who thought we should open up that second bottle.”

Last night when we got to Tucker’s, Kingston immediately wanted to go upstairs to play with Winter. So, Tucker sent out a group text to his brothers, and the guys all decided we would order in dinner and eat while the kids played.

It was fun—and nice, seeing Tucker so happy and relaxed with his brothers. Plus, I loved spending time with Willow and getting to know her a little more. It wasn’t the first time I had met her and her husband but it was the first time we really got to hang out.

“I knew I should have gotten an earlier flight yesterday.” Hazel sighs. “I always miss the good stuff.”

“Maybe we can all hang out tonight?” Willow offers, and Tucker shakes his head.

“I’m taking Miranda and Kingston to my cabin for the night.” I look up at him and frown. I didn’t know he had a cabin or that he planned on us going there.

“You are?”

He tips his chin down to meet my gaze. “I was going to surprise you, since Kingston is with his dad next weekend, and I have renters in there after that.”

“We’re going to a cabin?” Kingston asks with a happy smile.

“I want to go to the cabin.” Winter pouts.

Tucker takes his eyes off the two kids and looks around the room. “We could all go for the night. There’s plenty of room.”

“That sounds like fun,” Hazel agrees.

“Sounds good to me.” Miles shrugs.

“Us too,” Clay adds, wrapping his arm around Willow.

“You know I don’t have any plans,” Dalton says, and Willow gives him a disbelieving look. “What?”

“What about that girl you were talking to all morning?”

“She’ll wait for me.” He grins, and I almost roll my eyes, but I’m sure he’s right. Like his brothers, he’s good-looking and seriously charming. I bet every single woman he talks to is hoping he will stay interested for more than a night. I also know from Tucker that never happens. He’s a player, though I’m not sure “player” is the right word, since he’s up front about not getting into a relationship, and the women are still willing to put themselves out there anyway.
