“Now that is a long story, princess. Let’s get you back home first.”

Chapter 30

Welcome Princess

Argon

We stand outside the throne room’s closed doors. Blaise is filled with nervous energy. I thought it best to give her and the others a few days to get acclimated before introducing them to my kingdom and Father.

I give Blaise’s hand a little squeeze. “Relax, he’s going to love you,” I say.

“The last time we met, I was a beast who locked him in a cell. He probably already hates me.”

I turn to her and wrap my arms around her waist, pulling her into me. Placing my forehead to hers, I breathe her in. “My father understands you were cursed, and he knows what you mean to me. He’s not going to hate you. He’s just ready to meet my soul match.”

“Okay,” she breathes.

I laugh when for the millionth time since we’ve been standing here, she changes her hair and clothing. I give her waist a squeeze and peck her lips. Reaching for her hand, I twirl her in front of me.

This time her hair is flowing and sweeps across her eye. She’s dressed like the main character in the movie we watched last night. The flared skirt and corset are a mix of her personality.

The red heels bring a smile to my face. I haven’t been able to keep my hands off her silky legs. There isn’t a night since we’ve been back here when I haven’t had her toes in my mouth as I plow deep inside her.

“You look perfect. I wouldn’t change a single thing.”

She smiles. “Okay, I think I’m ready.”

I wink at her. “Good, the king is waiting.”

I lace my fingers with hers and turn to face the throne room once again. I give a nod for them to open the doors. A huge grin comes to my lips as I see Father has added a throne chair for Blaise to join us. When we stop before him, my father stands.

“Father, my king, I’d like to present to you Princess Blaise.”

“Finally, I’ve wanted to welcome you to Kunglig and thank you for saving my life,” my father says.

“You are welcome, King Arkyn. Thank you so much for having me while I settle back into this world.”

“It is a pleasure. We plan to do all we can to help in the transition. Although, I believe Argon has plans for your future.”

Blaise turns to me and I’m ready on one knee. Her eyes widen. I smile and hold up the ring my father gave me. It was my mother’s.

“You’re already linked to me, my love. Will you marry me before my people and my king? Make me the happiest man in existence. Say you’ll be mine, Blaise.”

“Yes,” she chokes out.

Father claps his hands. “Very well then, a royal wedding it is. I present to you all Princess Blaise of Puissance, the true soul match of Prince Argon of Kunglig.”

Everyone applauds and cheers. I stand and pull Blaise in to kiss her soundly. “I love you,” she whispers.

“I love you more. Welcome home.”

Blaise

I stand before this mirror in Argon’s bedroom in my panties and bra, staring at my reflection. It’s been so long since I’ve been in this form I keep thinking it will change if I look away. None of this seems real.

I reach to touch my chin and my ring comes into view. Tears well in my eyes. He asked me to marry him. I cradle my hand to my breasts as the tears start to fall.

“I’m loved,” I whisper.

“Yes, you are,” Argon says as he appears behind me.

I look up at him in the mirror’s reflection. He makes me feel so loved and protected. I didn’t know I wanted this so much.

Placing a hand on my side, he slowly brushes his fingertips across my skin until he stops just below my bra. Goose bumps rise and I shiver from his touch.

He gathers my hair and moves it aside to dip his head and kiss my neck. He finds my gaze in the mirror and watches me. Releasing my hair, he reaches to cup my breast.

I rub my thighs together as more tears fall. This isn’t a dream. For the first time since we’ve been back here, I allow myself to accept this is real, it’s not going to burst like a bubble and vanish.

“Breathe, Blaise. I’m not going anywhere. I love you and I want to make you happy. We have the rest of our lives to be together.”

I turn in his embrace and grasp the sides of his face. He looks me in the eyes with so much intensity. Music starts to play through the room. I smile.

“Dinesh has great timing,” Argon murmurs.

“Dinesh, mind your business. Stop spying on me,” I growl.

“Only listening in, princess,” his voice floats through the room. “Need to make sure you’re safe.”
