“Fuck,” I groan, almost in pain from wanting her. “You’re killing me.”

I’m standing on the edge of a cliff, and all it will take is a nudge from Mila to send me over.

Her teeth scrape against my thumb, and the edge dangerously begins to give way beneath my feet.

“Fuck this. We’re going home right now,” I growl.

‘Don’t move too fast. You first need to talk to her,’ my mind whispers.

‘I don’t fucking care! I want her now,’ my body rages.

My jaw brushes against hers as I bring my mouth closer to her lips.

I don’t fucking care anymore.

I want Mila.

I need Mila.

Someone bumps into us, and it knocks me back to my senses. In a daze, I turn to whoever it was.

“Jase, why are you making me wait?” Jessica’s hands take hold of my jaw, and then she pulls my head down. I’m shocked out of my mind when she lays a kiss on me.

MILA

Holy shit.

My mind is clouded, and my self-control is missing in action when someone bumps into us.

Jase glances to our right, and then my jaw drops as I watch Jessica grab hold of him. She proceeds to kiss him as if I’m not here.

His hands are still on me, and it takes a solid couple of seconds for my mind to catch up with what I’m seeing.

What. The. Fuck?

Anger begins to lick at my insides, and I snap, “I’m not into threesomes.” Yanking myself free from Jase, I rush into the sea of bodies around us.

I can’t believe I let that happen.

Again.

What’s wrong with me? Am I such a glutton for pain?

Seriously?!

How could Jase do that to me?

And better question yet, why did I let him?

With my heart and mind a total mess, I stop by Jessica and Nate’s table, and not caring two shits, I take Jessica’s drink and down it.

“Looks like the high and mighty Mila West has been replaced,” Justin sneers. “How does it feel to be toyed with?”

I glare at him, not in the mood to get into a fight. I’m done with this epically screwed-up night.

I battle my way to the door while my heart keeps sinking. What was I thinking? That Jase would finally stop his whorish ways and realize I’m the one?

Ha! Stupid, Mila.

How could I be so gullible to ever think Jase would want more with me?

Yeah? The only more he wants with you is a quick fuck.

Or a freaking threesome!

I let out a disgusted growl as my anger keeps growing, and in all honesty, I’m more upset with myself than with Jase. I shouldn’t have allowed myself to get swept away while we were dancing.

Stupid!

For a moment, I remember my purse is upstairs, but not wanting any of our friends to see me in such a state and asking questions I’m not ready to answer, I disappear out the doors and into the cold night air.

Even the coming winter chill does nothing to lessen the anger burning through me.

I actually feel a little sick. That drink of Jessica’s was potent. Just wanting to get home so I can take off this stupid dress and heels, I make my way through the parking area.

Pissed off, I stop and lean with one hand against a random car to take off the damn shoes. I lose my balance, but then a pair of hands grip hold of my hips. I almost sprain my damn neck when I quickly glance over my shoulder, and seeing Justin, I continue yanking the other heel off.

“I’m good, thanks,” I mumble to Justin.

When he doesn’t let go of my hips, I try to turn, but then his arms wrap around me, and lifting me from my feet, he carries me in between two parked cars.

My heels fly to the side as I try to slap at his arms. “Put me down!”

Then his alcohol-drenched breath is hot on my ear. “You’ve fucked with me for long enough, Mila. It’s time to back up all that flirting with some action.”

“What?” I try to glare at him again, but he pushes me forward and over a car’s front. When his hand slips up the back of my dress, my heart all but stops, and realization knocks the breath right from my lungs. “Justin! Stop!”

He lets go of me and tries to cover my mouth, and it gives me a chance to yank free and make a run for it. Running barefoot on ice-cold bricks is not the wisest thing I’ve ever done.

Justin quickly catches up to me, and wrapping an arm around my waist, he yanks me off my feet. His free hand slaps over my mouth, and then I’m dragged back.

Deeper and deeper between the luxury cars gleaming in the moonlight.

“Stop fighting, bitch,” Justin growls darkly, and it only makes my heart beat faster while I struggle against his hold.
