It was fucking exhausting.

I made my way over there, with Terra swimming happily next to me, until she spotted Ty and aimed for him, splashing water everywhere in the process. She was so damn cute that I kinda wanted to kidnap her tonight. Maybe she could have a sleepover with me on the boat.

Everyone seemed to be having a good time, so hopefully they didn’t wanna talk to me about something bad. Kit was coming out of his shell, though he remained glued to one of his Daddies, this time Lucas. Colt and River grabbed new beers from the cooler, Macklin smiled at me, and Shay and his naked Daddy Reese sat on the dock with their feet in the water.

Ty had slid on his shades, so I didn’t know what was going on behind them, but he appeared to be watching me.

I hoped I was being paranoid this time too.

“I thought it was weird to discuss your relationship with Macklin without you present,” Reese told me. “We’re talkin’ playtime.”

Oh. Well, that was good news. I liked playtime.

“And I said we’re open,” Macklin added.

I smirked. “Pretty sure that was clear already. They know you.”

I made Colt and Reese laugh fairly hard at that, and I had to admit it felt good.

Ty only offered a faint smirk, and then he helped Terra out of the water but stayed in himself.

“Yeah, yeah, hilarious. Moving on.” Macklin was undeterred. “Ty, Colt, River, and Reese wanna go hunt iguanas tomorrow—at the ass-crack of dawn—so tonight we’ll just do a barbecue and get to know one another better. But tomorrow night…”

Reese took it from there and tilted his head at me. “We were wondering if you, Macklin, and Shay would treat us to some live porn in the living room.”

My eyebrows flew up. No wonder Mack didn’t wanna get derailed.

Just railed.

“Uh…absolutely, Sir.” I’d be able to get my hands on Shay? The gorgeous guy with the captivating eyes? Count me in. His whole body was worthy of worship. We hadn’t exchanged more than a greeting and a handful of words, but yeah, I wasn’t turning that down.

“Fantastic.” Reese smiled and planted a kiss in Shay’s dark-blond hair. “We don’t want any of you to hold back. Anything goes where sexual activities are concerned. And I hope you’ll spend the evening tonight getting comfortable with one another. Flirt, kiss, touch, give us some heat to look forward to. Seduce us with a preview.”

Hot damn.

“You sure you don’t wanna join us, Kit?” Macklin teased. “There’s room for you too.”

Kit grinned and shook his head. “Nuh-uh. I’ll watch with my Daddies.”

Colt sent him a wink. “You’ll be used by your Daddies too, little darlin’.”

Okay, so we were looking forward to tomorrow. Actually, tonight too. I wanted to see if I had chemistry with Shay.

The tour of the boat had been postponed first by the anaconda, then food, then our itch to throw ourselves in the water, and now it was nearing dinnertime. But after a shower upstairs and changing into a new pair of shorts, I was relieved when Ty offered to show us where we’d sleep. I wanted to unpack and get settled.

Mack and I grabbed our luggage and headed out the patio doors—

“Macklin?”

I glanced back, finding Colt running a towel over his head. A sculpted, mature man wearing nothing but jeans…? That just worked for me.

“Yeah?” Mack glanced back too.

Colt nodded for…the kitchen or something. “I need a quick word.”

“Okay.” Mack turned to me—then Ty. “I’ll join you later. It’s just down the boardwalk, right?”

Ty inclined his head. “About two minutes. When you see a cabin bowrider named Unsinkable II, you’re there.”

I swung an incredulous look his way, only to be met by a little grin.

“What happened to Unsinkable I?” I asked.

Ty’s grin widened, and he didn’t fucking answer. I hoped he was joking. Instead, he turned around and went for the gate.

I exchanged a look with Mack.

“I’m sure it didn’t sink,” he said quickly. “I hope.”

“I’m kidding,” Ty chuckled. “It’s called The Delia.”

Oh. Well, Jesus!

Hopefully, The Delia I and not II.

But okay. I’d just go and be alone with Ty again, then. What happened to distance? While Macklin went with Colt, I went with Ty, and the rock of worry was back in my gut. And I realized it was partly due to his behavior. I couldn’t place him either, only for other reasons.

Back in the day, Corey had raved about pizza rolls and a man who was always in a good mood. An impression I’d shared. Ty had been very nice to me when Marina had brought me home. Now, though?

Maybe Macklin was right. He had a theory, because he’d noticed Ty was a little bit off too. He’d pointed out that Ty wasn’t “off” around the Tops, and he already knew Kit. It was just Macklin and me. We had picked up that vibe from him. So Mack was guessing that Ty was merely more focused on making new friends in the community, which made sense. It’d been the main reason he’d invited people down here.
