That anger was all aimed at my brother.

“What?” I asked. “Why? How?”

What had Silvy done to get that much ire aimed all at him?

“I was watching you for a second, then movement had me looking up,” Cassius said. “The moment your brother punched you in the leg, I thought for sure that he was going to come all the way over here. But then you laughed, moved around the table toward me, and he calmed down.”

“I could just beat up on her a little bit.” Silvy grinned lecherously at me. “But in a private place. Maybe when we appear alone. Could possibly get him to act then.”

“That might work,” Karen said. “But where would you do that at? He’d have to really react, though. My vote is to just kidnap him and torture the information out of him.”

“Vicious little thing, aren’t you?” Silvy asked of her.

Karen shrugged. “It’s been weeks, and he’s still not acting. It’s time to force him to react,” she explained.

Yet another thing that I avidly agreed on. I was tired of this limbo.

Tired of waiting for him to do something. Tired of waiting for my life to begin with Cassius.

It was time to make something happen.

“We’ll discuss it,” Cassius grumbled, taking the first bite of his taco.

I finished mine just as he’d taken his second bite. By the third, he was almost finished.

In the meantime, I scraped my plate clean of ketchup and finished my drink, watching him eat his healthy tacos with disgust.

“I can’t believe you got the ones that have the least amount of flavor and fat,” I muttered. “What kind of person can eat those?”

“The kind that likes to eat dessert, and rarely says no when his girl wants to go out and get it every night,” he countered, taking a bite of his second taco.

I grinned at him then.

That was true.

He never said no when I asked for dessert.

Okay, so maybe he could eat his healthy tacos in peace.

Meanwhile, I’d continue to eat my full fat and flavorful until my body wouldn’t allow me to anymore.

Sadly, lunch came to an end, and Silvy had to go, followed by Cassius not long after.

With a heated kiss to my lips, he winked and then said, “I’ll run Coran off. Give y’all enough time to get gone before he can figure out your next move.”

Then he too was striding down the dock toward the next boat he’d be taking out, leaving me to watch his sexy ass as he went.

“Damn, that man does things for me,” I said as I watched him until he disappeared.

“He does things for me, too. And every single woman he comes into contact with. Even Betsy, who says she’s always been attracted to women, thinks he’s sexy.”

I giggled.

We gathered our trash and used the Coran distraction for what it was meant for and escaped.

“Well that was fun,” Karen said softly as we headed for her car. “What do you want to do now?”

I looked at her.

Then laughed.

“I think we should go get our vaginas landscaped.”

CHAPTER 14

I believe in polyamory. You can love tacos and tequila at the same time.

ALICE

“I’m not too sure about this.” I looked at all the wax paper strips and the woman wearing the most void expression I’d ever seen on a person’s face. “I’ve never done this before.”

The woman continued to look at me.

It was Karen who said from the other stall, “Just do it. It was your idea to come here. I’ve never done it either, and oh my god.”

I heard the distinct sound of another rip, followed by a squeal.

I was instantly having regrets, and I hadn’t even started yet.

“I’m just gonna sneak through here…” I tried to leave, but Helga—that was truly her name—stepped in front of the door, pointed at the table, and said, “Sit.”

I sat.

There was no way I was disobeying her.

First, she was as tall as the doorframe, had a look on her face that said she would totally spank the hell out of me, and not in a good way, and she could probably take me with her pinkie finger.

“Gown up, scoot your butt to end of table,” Helga ordered.

“You okay over there?” Karen wheezed.

No, no I was not.

“Sure,” I lied.

I was far from okay.

In fact, if I could get any further from okay, it would likely scare her.

Helga took my gown and shoved it even higher when she got down between my thighs, and I felt my face flame.

“How long have you been doing this?” I couldn’t help but ask.

“Eighteen year,” she answered in her Swedish accent. “You have barely hair down here.”

I didn’t know if that was a good thing or a bad thing.

“Is that good?” I asked.

“Good genetics,” she answered. “Your friend have lots.”

Karen snorted. “I’m not a sasquatch or anything. I just don’t see any reason to prune my bush when it’s not being seen. Or used.”
