I’d waited until now, until she was tired and over excited about Dana Sue’s labor to attack. Had to make sure all her defenses were down or I’d never have been able to get shit out of her. “Go back to sleep.” I leaned over the bed and kissed her cheek while she panted, trying to catch her breath.

I smacked her ass playfully before heading to the shower all playfulness gone. It’s hard to berate and scold my wife while she’s carrying my child but I so want to take her to task for her shit. It’s even worse than I thought.

Had I not sniffed that shit out I’m sure they would’ve gone ahead with their plans, which would’ve brought trouble to our door. This keeping shit away from the women to protect them is a two edged sword.

Because they’re in the dark as to what we’re doing, they sometimes make moves that can fuck us over but good and this latest scheme of theirs is just one of those times. I broke out in a cold sweat just thinking about it as I turned on the shower.

Their impatient asses can never wait for anything. Bad enough I have Ginger-Lee’s ass to deal with, but now the guys and I have made a pact to look out for each other’s families so we all bear the burden when one of our women fuck up.

Before it was just Melissa and her shit, but then Law had to go and get snagged and the rest of us followed in quick succession; peace is a thing of the past, something to look back on fondly and wish for with each breath.

Now they’re dropping babies left and right and have our nuts in a sling because we can’t discipline them worth shit. They’ve got it made, which is why they think they can get away with shit. Like going behind our backs when we tell them to stay out of shit.

I didn’t spend much time in the shower, the sooner I tell the others what’s going on the sooner we can head this shit off. She was fast asleep when I walked back into the bedroom so I got dressed as quickly and quietly as I could before kissing her cheek one last time and heading out.

“Oh for fuck sake!” I rolled over and pulled the pillow over my head. It felt like I’d barely closed my eyes before I heard the stampede going in and out of my house.

My annoying ass wife was long gone from my bed it seemed, because her place was cold when I stretched my hand out looking for her. Isn’t she supposed to be laid up for a week at least?

And then I remembered I had a son. I sat bolt upright in bed and looked around at his crib but I should’ve known he’d be gone; damn women. I jumped out of bed all tiredness gone and headed for the shower.

By the time I got myself cleaned up and dressed I had a full house. I hadn’t really had much time to talk to Lyon and Creed the night before, everyone’s focus had been on the baby, but I knew they both had lives to get back to so I’d have to hit the ground running.

My house was full of women when I walked out the bedroom door which meant the men had all ran off to the clubhouse to get out of the line of fire. I waded through the estrogen brigade long enough to kiss my wife and son before hightailing it the hell out of dodge.

“Law, the sisters made breakfast, it’s in the kitchen.” Good to see giving birth had mellowed her out some. She’d graduated from hating the sheep to calling them the sisters. The fact that she’d allowed them to even cook for me says a lot though; she hadn’t come that far before yesterday.

I give that shit a week. Her territorial ass will be back to her shit before long I’m sure, just as soon as the newness of having a baby wears off. Then I’ll be back to riding herd on her and her crew with no sign of peace anywhere. Damn!

Of course I wasn’t about to eat that shit; I’m not stupid. Not that I think anything’s wrong with it, but I know my wife. I eat that shit and I’ll be hearing about it for weeks to come. So instead, I beat feet and got my ass outta there with a quickness and went in search of the others.

As soon as I stepped through the door I knew some shit was up. “What now?”

“You’re not gonna like it.” Clay was the first to talk and from the way they were acting it wasn’t about what Lyon had brought up last night.
