“Who are those for?” she asks with a grin.
I hold them up to her with a smile. “For the most amazing person I’ve ever met.”
She looks around playfully. “Oh, when do I get to meet this amazing person?”
I grin as I hand them to her. “It’s you, baby. It’s always been you.”
We kiss and then hold hands as I walk her back to my truck.
“How do you feel?” I ask. “Last day of work.”
She shrugs and smiles up at me. “If it means I get to spend more time with my sexy mate, I don’t mind.”
“Don’t worry,” I tell her. “I’ll make it worth your while. Every time you miss work, I’ll make you cum so hard it will clear your mind.”
“Sounds like a good plan,” she says with a blush on her cheeks.
I help her into the truck and she cradles our unborn baby as I carefully close the door. I can’t wait to be a father and I can’t wait to see Alyssa as a mother.
She’s been the perfect mate and I have no doubt she’ll be an incredible mother as well.
“You’re free,” I tell her as I start the truck. “Where do you want to go? You say the word and I’ll take you there. Out for lunch, ice cream, walk in the park, you name it.”
She grins and I can tell she’s thinking about something good.
“What is it, my love?”
“Remember that hotel we went to for our first night together?”
“Of course. How could I forget it? I’ll never forget that amazing night.”
“How about we disappear there for a few nights and reenact our first time?”
My cock is already rock hard just thinking about it.
I throw the truck into drive and peel out of the parking lot.
She laughs as I turn onto the highway, driving away from our ranch.
“I guess I should take that as a yes?” she says with a laugh.
“That’s a hell yes!”
“Shouldn’t we go home and get some clothes first?”
I look at her with a grin and shake my head. “We’re not going to need any clothes. Remember?”
She smiles shyly, that adorable pink back in her cheeks. “I guess you’re right.”
I hit the gas and fly down the highway, ready to have the time of our lives.
Epilogue
Alyssa
Ten Years Later…
Jacob takes the pen from his brother and signs the last signature on the deed. Eight names: Cameron Dixon, Mary McCray, Roman Dixon, Bailey Donovan, Easton Dixon, Ivy Irwin, Alyssa Frye, and Jacob Dixon. We’re the brand new owners of the ranch we’ve lived on and loved for the past decade.
It feels surreal.
Jacob slowly lowers the pen onto the desk and we all look at each other, not sure whether we’re allowed to move or not.
“That’s it,” the notary says with a friendly smile.
“The ranch is ours?” Jacob asks as he stares at him in disbelief.
“All yours.”
The eight of us leap into the air and hug and high five and kiss our mates. The Dixon tribe finally has a home to themselves.
Logan Crawford is watching us from the corner of the room with a grin on his face. You can barely see his eyes under his black cowboy hat, but he looks happy that his childhood home is going to a good crew of bears. He’s happy living with the Bowen brothers and wanted to give us our own place to stay after renting it to us for so long.
There’s elation in the air as we celebrate the huge win. We all chipped in for this one. The ranch has been pulling record profits with all of the guys’ hard work, Mary put in her two advances for her bestselling non-fiction books, both relationship advice books on being mated with a shifter, Bailey and Ivy added their profits from the catering company they started, and I’ve been putting in two paychecks a month from firefighting into the big pot.
It took a while, but we finally got the money to make it all ours.
The big farmhouse is getting too small for all of us with all of our cubs running around, so we’re going to start building four separate houses on the ranch. Far enough for some privacy, but close enough to remain a tight-knit crew.
Jacob’s arms tighten around me when we meet in the middle of the room. “Couldn’t have done it without you, kid,” he says with that wicked smile that always makes me weak in the knees.
We’ve been together every day for over a decade and have had four children together, but he still manages to make my insides feel like jelly every time he gives me that stunner of a look.
I love him so much.
He’s everything to me.
He’s my man, my best friend, and my mate.
And I’m never letting him go.
The End!
