“How about we try it?” I say softly to her, “and if it’s too scary you can close your eyes.”
Scott and Lucy start pleading with her to agree.
“It’s not that bad,” Scott says with pleading eyes.
“There’s aliens in it,” Hazel says. “Aliens are scary.”
“They’re cartoon aliens!” Lucy complains. “They’re not even real!”
Hazel finally agrees under the condition that she sits between me and Roman.
We turn the lights off and start the movie. I smile at Roman as we hold hands on Hazel’s lap.
I absolutely adore my big family.
If I knew what was in store for me when I first dropped conditioner all over Roman, I don’t know how I would have handled it.
We eventually outgrew the large farmhouse after Roman and his brothers all settled down. But we all stayed together on the property and built four houses on the ranch.
I love it here. I love feeling like we have a community of family and seeing all the children run around outside and play with their cousins.
We’re always together, but on Sunday nights, we keep it just the six of us.
I’m still utterly in love with my sexy man. He’s been more than I ever could have dreamed of for a husband.
Protective, loving, and he still gets all possessive when we’re out in public. He still makes me feel like the sexiest woman in the world.
“Ahhh!” Hazel screams when the first alien pops onto the screen.
There’s a jump scare with more aliens and she starts shaking wildly.
“Hazel, no!” I shout as her Kodiak bear rips out of her. “I just bought that shirt! Damn it.”
“You said damn it,” Scott says with a chuckle. I toss a kernel of popcorn at him.
Her clothes are shredded.
Hazel’s adorable little cub immediately turns to the popcorn bowl and grabs a mouthful.
“Get out of there!” I say as I pick her up and put her on the floor. “Bears aren’t supposed to eat popcorn.”
Logan shushes me. He doesn’t even turn away from the television even though a bear cub is walking through the family room.
It’s just a regular old occurrence when you’re living with five bear shifters.
And it’s just another night in the Dixon home.
Where the love is strong and dreams come true.
The End!
