All the boys slept in their own rooms from the time they came home from the hospital, but Miles put his foot down when I tried to do the same thing with his little angel.

Overprotective doesn’t even begin to describe my husband right now. He absolutely loves each of our sons, but he’s totally nuts over our daughter. I almost feel sorry for any boys who try to date her in the future. Between my crazy husband and all his friends, not to mention our older three sons, prospective love interests have no idea the hoops they’ll have to jump through before they can get within a mile of Isla.

An idea occurs to me as I’m looking through all the photos Morgan sent. I type out my message before I’m able to change my mind.

Me

Isla is out for the count, and I have a little surprise for you when you come home.

King Stud

Surprise?

Me

Today was my check-up with the doctor.

I snap a quick photo of the edge of my naked boob and send the picture. There. That should encourage him to rush home.

“Wake up, honey bun. You promised me a surprise.” My eyes pop open, and I realize I fell asleep waiting for Miles to come home. “Where is my princess?” He points at the empty bassinet.

“In her baby bed.” I put Isla to sleep in the fancy pink crib my husband insisted on buying. “So we can have alone time.”

He smiles against my lips. “I guess I can handle that.”

“I missed you,” I whisper and watch as my husband stands and rips away his clothes. I pull my mom t-shirt over my head and toss it aside.

“Fuck. You’re goddamn stunning.” Miles crawls over me, leaving little bites along the way. His tongue tangles with mine as he kisses me while I wrap my leg around his waist, pulling him closer. It’s been a long six weeks, and I’m ready to self-combust.

“Hurry up,” I urge him on as he kisses his way down my neck. He gives each of my boobs a little kiss and then continues his path down the front of my body.

“Be patient,” he grumbles against my sensitized skin.

“If one of the kids gets up and interrupts us, I’m going to die of frustration.”

“Don’t worry, honey bun. I’ll make sure you’re satisfied.” And my husband always keeps his promises.

He slides to his knees on the side of the bed and spreads my soft legs. If he doesn’t get a move on, I’m going to die from frustration. I whimper my appreciation when he runs his tongue up my center before stopping to give my clit attention.

“I missed your taste.” He sucks hard and slides a finger deep into my pussy. I sigh my pleasure and reach down to dig my fingers into his soft hair. It doesn’t take long before an orgasm powers through me.

He crawls up my body and closes his lips over mine. “I love you.”

“I love you, too. Now get to round two.”

“You’re awfully demanding tonight.” He smiles down at me and places his erection at my opening. Finally. I’ve waited forty-one days to feel this connection with him again.

Emotion shines from his steely eyes as he picks up speed. I feel an orgasm building and clench my intimate muscles tight around his shaft, making sure to take him with me. Our combined groans fill the bedroom as we come together.

He kisses the side of my neck and rolls over onto his back as a little squeal comes through the video monitor.

“At least she has better timing than her brothers.” I laugh, realizing this is the first time we ever made it through our six-week celebration without interruption.

“That’s because I had a talk with my little princess before I left for the hockey game.” Miles hops out of bed and pulls on his navy-blue pajama pants. “Why don’t you get some rest while I spend time with my girl?”

I’m not going to pass up the chance to get a little extra sleep. “There are two bottles in the refrigerator in her room.” We learned with our first to make sure our babies both breast and bottle feed so I can get a rest every now and then.

“I got this,” he promises and heads for our daughter’s room right next door. Isla’s outraged cries turn to little whimpers as I hear my husband whisper, “Don’t worry, angel baby. Daddy is here.”

My heart melts as my eyes begin to drift closed. Life doesn’t get any better than this.
