I do my best not to look down, even though I want to rub my face in her huge rack. “I’ll ask you again. What were you doing under there?”

She rolls her eyes like she fucking has from time to time over the past week. Since she learned that I wasn’t technically her boss, her attitude has been a bit sassy. I enjoy it, but I want to spank her all the same. I raise my brow. “I was trying to get the cat.”

“There is no cat.” Why is she bullshitting me?

June circles her eyes around again, pressing her dainty hands on her made-for-breeding hips again. “Yes, there is.” A meow comes from under the bed. “Told you.”

I roughly lift the mattress, sending it against the wall only to find a tiny little kitten in the back corner, curled into a ball and looking adorable. “Aw. It’s so cute,” she squeals, stepping around the bedframe to bend down and grab it.

“Be careful. It could have diseases.” Cute or not, if it made her sick, I’d drown the fucker.

She twists her head and rolls her pretty blue eyes at me, giving me a pout for added measure. “Calm down. You should be used to living around feral animals.” She has a point; I am practically feral when it comes to her.

“That’s different.”

“Besides, I’ve always wanted a kitten. Look at his cute little gray fur.” She stands up and walks over to me, so I set the mattress down and take a peek at the bundle of fluff. It has a very light gray color, making it a really sweet-looking little thing, but that doesn’t mean it’s something we can keep.

“Well, we have to get it out of the house before the boss sees it,” I remind her, pressing my hand on the small of her back. She flinches at first, but then relaxes against my touch.

“I suppose you’re right. It’s not like I can afford to take care of a cat, anyway.” She lives with her sister in an apartment in town, although she lives with me most of the week.

“How did it get in here in the first place?” I question her. It’s a long way off from the other residence and I’m not sure where there’s a group of baby kittens. The likelihood of someone bringing the kitten inside is more reasonable. Although no one would be that stupid because Dario’s dogs would make them lunch.

“That’s my thought as well. Mr. Conti has dogs,” she says.

“That’s right, so let’s get this little one out of here before he becomes kibble.” I’d hate to break her precious heart if the dogs have a little kitten snack. They’re guard dogs trained to treat intruders as threats.

“Sure.” She cradles the kitty against her ample chest, which makes me want to bend down and pet the little fella just to get close to her, to accidentally touch the soft flesh like a fucking creep.

Fuck. She’s too damn young for me, too pure, but I want her naked as fuck and under me. It’s becoming unbearable these days. A week, and I’m fascinated.

From the moment she crossed my path at the agency, I’ve wanted June. She’s gorgeous, sweet, adorable, and loving. The way she cradles that little animal sends a vision of her holding a baby in her arms. Our baby.

The thought of her having my kid shoots seed straight into my sack, making my balls heavy. It’s too crazy, so I push the thoughts away. “Head through the back so we don’t bother the boss.”

“Bother me from what?” Dario appears out of the shadows with his brow raised, looking at me and then at June.

A meow gives us away instantly. “Fuck.” I want to pull her behind me to keep her eyes off him and his eyes off her. What if he wants her when he finally meets her?

“We found him under the bed,” June answers, pointing to the guest bedroom.

“A cat?” Dario asks, brows raised.

“A kitten,” I answer.

Dario nods, looking at the little guy, inching closer to him, even reaching out to pet the fucker that’s too close to my woman’s chest. I let out a grunt, causing Dario to smirk at me and say, “Shit, maybe they came from the estate next door. They have them around to fight the mice that come from the fields.”

“Oh, well. Should we drop him back off there, then? His momma must be worried and looking for him,” June suggests. God, my balls just filled up a little more. I want to fill her belly with our babies.

Dario smiles at her, and I fight every instinct to attack. “That’s a great idea. I don’t want my dogs to make a snack out of the little guy.” He then turns his attention to me, and there’s no discernable expression on his face. Nothing I can read to gauge how much trouble I’m obviously going to be in for. “Alessio, after you deal with that matter, I must see you in my office.”
