“Why are you here?” Jake snarls.

And when I face forward again, I see his brother standing there. A drink in hand and a smirk on his face.

Leonardo is the first to speak, “This is your brother?” he asks, confused while Grayson stands there, smiling.

“If you can give us a minute?” Jake asks Leonardo, who glances between the two and then walks out of the room, leaving the four of us together. Grayson’s eyes flick to me, and I can see the mischief in them before he looks back to Jake.

“You have a thing for redheads now,” Grayson comments. “You even brought her with you.”

“What are you doing here? You weren’t invited,” Jake bites back, ignoring Grayson’s words.

“Oh, come on, brother, you know you want me here.” He goes to touch Jake’s shoulder, but Jake pulls back, not allowing him to touch him. “Still have an issue with being touched, I see.” His eyes flick to me, and I feel guilty automatically, but Jake says nothing, just glances back at Maria.

“Have him escorted out,” Jake orders.

“You always had a thing for being in charge. I’m staying, brother. Or…I will come back and visit, and your friends will not be happy.” Jake grinds his molars. “Now, show me how this works.” Grayson taps Jake’s shoulder, making Jake pull away, then he walks past us and out the door.

Jake’s eyes find mine, and when I search them, I see hate. It’s directed at me, though there is definitely an undercurrent of distrust toward his brother. Maria leaves the room, and Jake and I are left by ourselves.

“Jake.”

He turns to face me but says nothing.

The anger is simmering in his dark eyes, and so I ask, “Do you want to leave? We can go to a hotel,” I offer, trying to calm him.

“You didn’t even want me around you a few days ago!” He growls, and my hand drops from his arm at his anger that’s now firmly directed at me. “Don’t act like you care now.” I’m so taken aback by his words that I have to remember he’s upset, and it isn’t just directed at me.

I hope.

I stand there as he silently clenches his jaw, waiting for me to speak.

But what can I say?

Instead, I do what I want to do. I reach up and grip his face. He doesn’t pull away from me, he merely stands there still like a statue.

Stepping closer to him, I lean in and kiss his cheek, moving slowly with small kisses until I reach his mouth. When my lips press against the corner of his lips, I feel him jolt, and I stop instantly. I pull back, and my hands slide down from his face to his chest, going lower and lower until I reach the belt on his trousers. Then I slip my hand a little lower and cup his dick.

“Hotel?” I ask him again.

“You are dangerous,” he whispers, leaning in and kissing the side of my neck. I squeeze my hand around his erection, and he groans. “I have to work. But after, if you still want to be fucked, I’ll fuck you.” I nod and drop my hands to my sides as Maria opens the door.

“They’re waiting,” she announces. Guilt swarms Maria’s face, but she hides it just as fast as I see it.

Jake offers me his hand and leads me out of the room, stopping at a guy with two girls by his side. Jake reaches for the first girl’s chin and lifts it so he can see her face. Her expression is blank, and she looks anywhere but at him.

“This one is good… compliant. She’ll do what you say,” the man standing with the girls says. “Tell him,” he orders the girl.

“Yes, Master.” Her voice is lifeless, and her whole demeanor screams soullessness.

Jake looks at the man. “Give me five minutes with both.”

The man walks away, leaving the women with us.

What is going on here?

And why did they call him Master?

“Is this a life you would like to stay in, or would you like one where you are in control of your body and can earn your freedom?” The women have a silent conversation with their eyes before they turn to Jake.

“Is this a trick question?” the one he touched asks.

“No. I want to know if you will agree to sell your body, at your own choice, and work in a club of mine. The contract is for one year, and you can choose to stay or leave when your time is up. But for the price I pay for you, you have to work it off. Do you understand?”

I can see the confusion written all over their faces when their eyebrows scrunch together, and I’m pretty sure it mirrors mine. They turn around and search for the man who was standing with them before they look back at Jake.
