He seemed fine, so she breathed a sigh of relief and welcomed them home. When Ryan leaned in to kiss her cheek, she felt her heart drop a little when instead, he moved his lips to her ear. “We need to talk.” She tried searching his face for answers, but he didn’t give anything away, something she was sure was for her daughter’s benefit.

She’d been crossing her fingers that the girl calling him dad would cease to annoy him and that the little talk she’d had with him a little while ago would keep him from overthinking it, but she had a feeling she was about to be proven wrong.

Ryan didn’t let any of what he was thinking show on his face. Sometimes, like now, he wondered how he’d let things get this far. He never should’ve agreed to get married, and on days when his head is on straight, he’s sure that he’d made a mistake. He likes Misty fine, but not enough to throw away his life the way it sometimes feels like he had.

He’d gone on Tinder to have some fun after his last relationship broke down, and he’d come back to the small town he’d left behind after college. How he came to be married to the first woman he’d met on the app was sometimes a mystery.

Tonight he was sure that he was going to dissolve their union. Not only because of the girl calling him dad but because on his last trip out of town, the first time since their wedding that he’d been away on his own for any real length of time, he’d had time to think and realized that this wasn’t the life for him.

He’d use the excuse of Connie calling him dad since nothing else he was feeling made sense. He’d agreed to the marriage, after all, so he couldn’t very well blame Misty for that. So the fact that he now saw the whole thing as a huge mistake was no one else’s problem but his own.

He’d held off on saying anything when he first returned the night before because he thought maybe he was feeling that way because of the distance between them. There’d been a scare among the track team with the new epidemic and what should’ve been an overnight stay turned into two weeks.

Maybe he wouldn’t be feeling this way had Misty not reacted the way she had like he was abandoning her. She’d been clingy in the past but nothing like she’d been when he called and told her that he was going to be quarantined for two weeks. She’d ranted and raved when begging, and pleading hadn’t worked, even threatening to come get him or at the very least stay with him until he told her that she would be breaking the law.

By the second day away, he’d started to feel like he’d been suffocating at home, especially in the last few months, and was finally able to breathe for the first time in a long while. He’d spent most of his time in quarantine away from Misty trying to think of a way out. But Connie calling him dad, something he’d assured Misty he didn’t want, was the perfect out he needed.

Dinner was a morose affair; the only one talking animatedly was Connie, who didn’t seem to notice the sudden quietness between the other two. Misty kept watching Ryan to see if there would be any change in his behavior, holding her breath with each bite he took of his meal. She’d made his second favorite since they’d had his favorite the night before upon his return.

By the end of the meal, Ryan no longer felt like there was a noose around his neck; in fact, he felt relaxed and at ease, his mind finally at rest. As he helped Misty in the kitchen with the dishes, he was beginning to think that maybe he’d overreacted.

Her playful touches and the way she looked up at him as if he hung the moon made his cock hard, and before you know it, he was backing her up against the sink with his hand between her thighs, copping a feel with Connie in the other room.

“Let’s sneak upstairs for a quickie while she’s busy with homework,” Ryan growled before he took Misty’s lips almost roughly as that hand between her thighs found its way beneath her dress as his fingers went in search of her pussy.

Misty rode his hand and sucked on his tongue while pushing her aching tits against his chest. “Let’s go, hurry.” They ran up the stairs like two kids in heat, grinning and swatting at each other playfully until they reached their bedroom where things grew serious again as soon as Ryan saw the bed. Suddenly he needed to get inside her in the worst way. It felt like he would die if he didn’t fuck her in the next few seconds.
