“What makes you think we didn’t notice you?” Gideon asked.

Heather laughed. “Seriously, we’re going to start with that question first? You never looked our way. I seem to recall last year when someone mentioned our name over some kind of committee meeting, you even said, who?”

Gideon frowned as I turned to look at him.

“I don’t recall that.”

“It was due to some kind of end-of-the-year party. You were advised to get me and Sian on board as we had places on the committee that would mean it could be a party ’til you drop or whatever.”

The school had a student committee that got together once a week and talked about everything the school wanted. For the most part, it was a lame excuse for a bunch of people to pretend they had any power. The truth was everyone did whatever the hell they wanted to do, and we went along with it as if it was all part of some big plan.

It was why I didn’t bother to waste my energy.

“I knew who you were,” Gideon said. He was lying.

“Right, and pigs fly.” Heather turned to me and winced. “Sorry.”

I held my hands up. “I’m fine.”

“What’s that all about?” Mateo asked.

“Nothing. Are you done?” I looked at Heather.

“Yep, totally done.” She got to her feet, as did I.

“We’re not finished,” Gideon said.

“Then you better hurry. Homeroom is in ten minutes.”

He grabbed my hand as I went to leave. “Don’t go.”

“I didn’t invite you to sit with me, Gideon. Any of you. I’m guessing you all heard what I said to Chloe. I meant it. This doesn’t make me feel special.” I glanced back at Mateo. “And I don’t like to be threatened or harassed. Let me go.”

His grip seemed to tighten.

I refused to back down.

Slowly, he let go of my wrist and I immediately took a step away from him, breathing a sigh of relief.

After dumping my leftovers in the trash, I put the tray on the stand and looped my arm with Heather’s. I didn’t know how the hell I was going to get through the rest of the year with them constantly arriving like this.

Gideon was pissed as we entered homeroom. As per all our negotiations, we were in the same class as Sian. She and Heather sat in the back.

I had to wonder if they were … together.

The way Heather looked at Sian, the girl was in love with her. I was sure of it.

Stepping into the classroom, we captured the gaze of everyone in class, apart from the two in the back.

Heather had a lock of Sian’s long hair between her fingers. Today was the first time I realized how fucking sexy she looked. That long hair trailing down her body. It was long, down to just above her ass. There was nothing scraggly about it. Thick, designed to be wrapped around a man’s fist as he fucked her nice and hard.

My dick ached to be inside her.

Damn, I hadn’t had strong feelings like this in a long time. I didn’t live like a monk, and chicks were easy to take. Being one of the four Saintly Devils helped. They were always trying to bag the four of us. Some girls practically begged for all four of us to train on them, taking us one after the other.

We never gave in to that.

Not a single girl here could hold the victory trophy of having all four of us. It was our rule. We also had to watch our backs. Some of the girls here were fucking vicious.

There was no room near Heather and Sian.

Gideon took the lead, going to the back of the room and forcing the four people around them to move.

They didn’t put up any fight as we took the tables in front and to the side of Sian.

Once sat, I noticed Sian looked at us, and I caught the disappointment in her gaze. The level of rejection she was sending our way would give a guy a complex, but I liked it.

She was playing hard to get.

This was a first for me. I hadn’t experienced a challenge in a really long time, and I rather liked this.

“I am thinking of cutting some off,” Sian said. “I forgot to put it up this morning.”

No way in hell was she cutting her fucking hair. I was about to say something when Heather got there first. “No. Don’t. You’ve been growing this for years. I know why you do it. Unless you’re ready to cut it all off.”

There was something in that little piece of information, but I didn’t know what it was. Why did Sian keep her hair long? Was it really important?

“I know.” Sian sighed and shrugged. “You know me. I’ll keep it.”

Heather smiled.

The teacher entered the classroom.

He took one look at us and seemed to piss himself. This guy was a new teacher. I wasn’t sure of his name. He was young though.
