So far, he’d picked up a sloth onesie, several sloth soft toys and this gorgeous sloth bathing suit. It was pretty much the cutest thing he’d ever seen. It was a pale blue with rows of pink ruffles going over the bottom and images of sloths swimming on it.

“And a matching sloth sun hat! Wow, there’s so much sloth stuff here.”

“I don’t need all this stuff,” she protested as Liam came up and took the things from her, setting them on the counter.

“You so do! What about floaties and ooh, a sloth towel! You’re gonna need that for the swimming pool too!” He ran off, looking for one.

“Marcus, freeze!” Eliot ordered.

Oh, drat.

Normally, he loved this game. He was the king of the freeze game. Only when Eliot played it with him, it was because he was in trouble.

“Unfreeze.”

Turning, he saw Eliot frowning at him. Isla was pressed to his side, staring at him with wide eyes. Liam had disappeared. He was probably able to tell from the firm note in Eliot’s voice that Marcus had just gotten himself into trouble.

“What is the rule for when we’re inside?”

“Um, I’m supposed to be in arm’s reach,” he said. “But how am I meant to shop like that? You guys are too slow!”

“And you disappeared, and I couldn’t see you. If you do that again, I’m buying that leash. And you’ll have to wear it whenever we’re out of your room.”

Now, see, he wasn’t entirely sure he was opposed to that.

Eliot looked down at Isla. “Stay right there.”

She nodded, and he stepped forward. Taking hold of Marcus’ arm, he half-turned him and gave him five sharp taps on his ass.

Holy. Heck.

Had he just got his butt walloped in the store at Rawhide Ranch?

Yikes! It hadn’t really hurt. But it had got his attention.

He guessed maybe Eliot really was serious about this whole staying by his side thing.

“Now, where were you headed in such a rush?” Eliot asked.

“Um, oh! Towels for Isla! She needs a towel to go swimming with!”

“I think they have towels at the pool,” Isla said. “And I already have a swimsuit.”

“It’s boring. It’s black. And plain.” He eyed her as Eliot drew her along with them. “Tell me that you like them.”

“I like it.”

“You’re not allowed to lie.”

She glanced up at Eliot, then over to him. “Fine. It’s plain and boring. But it does the job. I shouldn’t be spending money on frivolous things.”

“You’re not. I am.” He knew that she’d grown up without much. But he wanted to spoil her.

“Marcus, don’t spend your money on me.”

“But I like spending money on you. It makes me happy. Please?”

“I don’t know… you should save your money for important things.”

“But you’re the most important thing in my life, so what else would I spend it on?”

“All right then.”

“And you can’t say you don’t like all the sloth stuff we found.”

“No. I can’t because I love it.” She flashed him a smile.

“Yes!”

They ended up with a pile of sloth-themed items, including a stuffie, which she hadn’t let go of as soon as she’d seen it.

“He needs a name,” Eliot told her.

“He’s a she. And her name is Sophie. Sophie the Sloth.”

“Perfect,” Eliot told her.

She blossomed under the big man’s praise.

“I think I might need some of these. What do you think?” Marcus held up a pair of board shorts with diggers on them.

“They’re so you,” she told him.

“Now, I have another area I want us to look at.” Eliot led them into the part that had supplies for Littles. There were pacifiers, bibs, onesies, and bottles. “Is there anything here that either of you would like?”

“Not me,” Marcus said. “I’m a big boy. But La-la needs everything. Ooh, look, a swaddle. Bit different than the swaddling we do, huh?” He waggled his eyebrows at her, loving the way she blushed.

“Oh? Do tell,” Eliot said in a hushed voice.

“You’ve never heard of swaddling? Like swaddling your cock? Sleeping with it in someone’s mouth or pussy or ass?”

“Dear lord,” Isla said, covering her cheeks with her hands. “Do we need this conversation here?”

“Ahh, I have heard of it. You both enjoy that?” Eliot asked.

“Uh-huh.” Marcus nodded.

“We do,” Isla said. “It feels intimate.”

Marcus noted the way her gaze kept going to the pacifiers and bottles. She definitely wanted to try them. And now was the time to do it. Not that she couldn’t use them when it was the two of them. He could feed her a bottle. No worries. Of course, he might not be trusted with heating it up. He’d blown up more than one microwave.

“Why don’t you point to each thing you like, little one?” Eliot asked her.

She bit her lip nervously but pointed to a bottle and bib. Both had sloths on them. As well as a pacifier.

“Good girl for telling us what you need,” Eliot praised. “We’ll add these and a soft blanket.”
