I’d have definitely made different decisions if I had to do it all over again, but there was nothing either of us could do about it now.
“No apologies from either of us.” He took a breath and shook his head. “We both could’ve handled it differently, and I regret not getting to know you better before we jumped into bed.”
That got us a bug-eyed look from an older lady walking by, but the way she giggled as she walked past said she wasn’t offended.
Robyn rolled his eyes but didn’t seem to mind our audience because he kept going. “I’d like a chance to get to know you better. If you’re not opposed to that idea?”
With anyone else, I’d have said thanks but no thanks.
Robyn just kept grabbing my attention, though, and my brain wouldn’t let go of him.
“I had fun in the club.” He was a great dancer and charming when he’d had a few drinks, which was a nice change of pace. “And even though it went awkwardly toward the end, I know we had chemistry.”
Contrary to what he might think, I hadn’t gone home with that many guys.
Primarily because it usually went badly.
Trust issues—who me?
A hint of a smirk peeked out, and it was sexy as fuck. “I will not deny the chemistry. Although I do want to talk about your little side and get to know all the different aspects of your personality before we jump back into anything like that.”
Pouting probably wasn’t the right answer, but I gave him a dramatic sigh anyway. “But now I know you won’t panic if I call you Daddy. So I’m not worried anymore?”
That had to make it okay to jump back into bed.
I gave him an innocent smile, aiming for cute and manipulative. “We’ve technically already had our first date.”
He snorted, rolling his eyes. “I think I’m going to be old-fashioned and aim for three dates before we try that again.”
Ugh, that sucked.
“I bought you a drink, and you bought me one. I think that counts as two dates.” I liked that math.
Robyn barked out a laugh. “No.”
Before I could find another way to pout and talk my way into his bed, he shook his head. “And now that I know a bit more about you, I’m not worried about making firm rules.”
Oh, damn…Daddy was in the house.
He was so sexy.
How had I not seen this before?
“What kind of rules?” Inching closer as we walked, I brushed my arm against his. Robyn gave a quick grin before going back to his serious Daddy expression.
“Lots if you’re not careful.” The firm tone sent a shiver through me. Daddy Robyn didn’t miss it and barely held back a laugh. “You are going to be trouble.”
Possibly.
“But I’m very cute when I’m little.” I found myself blushing when he looked over at me and smiled, stroking his hand over my head as we slowed.
“I imagine so.” His flirty grin and the soft touch of his finger around my ear had me nearly melting into a puddle on the sidewalk. “Tell me about your little side.”
My brain was totally MIA at this point. “Here?”
I was game for that, but we might shock the normies.
He shook his head, chuckling before glancing behind me. “We’re at my place.”
Oh.
Yeah, duh.
“That’s a good plan.” I’d be able to think more if he stopped petting me, but I really didn’t want to point that out…he might stop petting me.
Damn, he stopped petting me.
I pouted and stepped closer, which made him smile again, thoroughly pleased with himself. “Aww.”
So my little side might’ve been inching toward the surface.
But if I wasn’t going to orgasm, little time was the next best thing.
“Come on.” He must’ve realized that because he took my hand confidently, leading me into his building.
When we got into his apartment, I wasn’t sure if the awkwardness would return or if he’d stay the confident Daddy I was really starting to like. Not knowing what would happen had me fighting between getting even littler or being snarky.
I wasn’t sure either one was a good idea, honestly.
Daddy Robyn squeezed my hand, stopping us right inside the door. “Nothing happens we’re both not comfortable with, got it?”
When I nodded, feeling a bit silly, he continued. “And there is no right or wrong way to be. If your little side comes out, we’ll find something fun to do. If your big side stays at the front of your mind, we’ll talk and still have fun. Got it?”
But not naked fun…so staying big wasn’t quite as interesting as he probably thought it would be.
I nodded, though, and did my best to look relaxed and somewhat grown-up. “I understand.”
His eyes sparkled, but he didn’t laugh.
Daddy Robyn just stroked my hand with his fingers and gave a gentle tug. Something about it made me giggle as I inched closer. He smiled, leaning in to kiss my forehead. “You still haven’t told me about your little side.”
