“Wilder,” she says softly as her legs fall open, and she stretches out on the bed.

I slip my finger from her and trace the wet digit up her belly and to her nipple. I circle it there and then lean down to suck on the tight peak.

“Do you want to take another bath?” I offer, and she smiles at me with hooded eyes.

“Only if you let me wash your back,” she says.

“Deal.” I wink at her as I ignore my cock and stand from the bed. Her eyes eat up every inch of me as I lean down and scoop her up in my arms. “Stop treating me like a piece of meat.”

“But you’re my piece of meat.” Her stomach growls, and I raise an eyebrow.

“Okay, change of plans. Shower, then food.”

“Fine, but I want a snuggle afterwards.”

“You drive a hard bargain,” I tease, and the sound of her laughter fills the room.

Chapter Eleven

BRI

As I start to wake, I reach for Wilder when I don’t feel his warmth wrapped around me. The man was on me like a vine from the moment we hit this bed. Though I’d been pretty much slept the whole time because a girl can only take so much.

The man fed me again before we had another bath where he’d gotten me off twice. Between orgasms and him rubbing my whole body in the tub, I was a pile of mush. I vaguely remember him carrying me to bed, and once there, he pulled me into his arms, and it was lights out.

I blink my eyes, trying to clear the fog, and thankfully the slight headache I’d had is now gone. I still don’t have any memories, but there are a few pieces here and there. When Wilder mentions something, I can often picture it. Like my grandparents and the general store. In my mind I know what they look like, but that’s about it really.

I’m starting to wonder if my brain is doing it on purpose. Is it hiding something from me? Is it the same thing Wilder is hiding from me? I don’t know why, but for some reason I don’t think so.

A moan leaves me as I stretch my arms and legs. There’s a slight ache between my thighs making itself known, and I don’t mean the kind Wilder gives me when he’s around. I’m pretty sure it’s the muscles straining from being spread so much. I snort a laugh, but then I start to question why my legs are sore, because wouldn't they be used to this? Wilder and I are unable to keep our hands off each other.

I snag one of Wilder’s thick sweaters out of the closet and notice I already have socks on my feet. It’s actually the only thing I have on. I smile, realizing he must have put them on for me. I find a pair of sweatpants and try to put them on too, but no matter how many times I roll them, they keep falling. I thought with my hips maybe it would work, but I guess not.

Thinking about how big Wilder is in comparison to me, I start to get turned on. Jeez, he doesn’t have to be in the same room with me and I start to get worked up over him. There’s something about him that’s so right for me. I might not remember how Wilder and I fell in love, but I’m guessing for me it was instant.

Natalie called us newlyweds. Is that why my stuff isn’t here? That would make sense, but why didn’t he say that? With how quickly I’ve fallen for him again, I could see how we might have ended up getting married quickly.

I enter the kitchen, sure that’s where I’m going to find Wilder, but he’s nowhere in sight. I backtrack through the cabin calling his name but get no response. I pause, wondering where the heck he could be. Aren’t we in the middle of a snowstorm?

The fire in the living room is still going full force, so he has to be close. Then my ears perk up when I hear a knocking sound coming from outside. I walk over to the side door Natalie went through and finally spot Wilder. I watch as he lifts an axe over his head and then swings it down on a piece of wood. It splits it in two, then he grabs another and does it again.

“Holy shit,” I say to myself. A dull ache forms at my center as I watch my mountain man of a husband chop wood. This is hotter than any porn out there. Who knew watching someone chop wood could be a turn-on? Well, not just someone. Wilder.

Wilder looks up as if feeling my stare, and his eyes lock with mine. A giant smile pulls at his lips before he brings the axe down once more and lodges it there.
